MAIL-GJ
A desktop e-mail client for Windows for Outlook / Office 365 and Gmail, with an AI assistant that runs entirely on your own computer.
What it does
- Reads, organizes and searches your e-mail: folders and Gmail labels, read state, moving, deleting and rules.
- Writes and sends e-mail, replies and forwards, with attachments and your own signature. Messages are only sent when you press Send.
- Offers a local AI assistant that can summarize a thread, discuss it with you and suggest a reply. The AI model runs on your computer; your mail is not sent to an AI service.
How it uses your Google account
When you add a Gmail account, MAIL-GJ asks Google for access to your mail (the https://mail.google.com/ scope) and to your
name and e-mail address. It uses that access only to show your mail in the app, keep it in sync, and carry out the actions you take, such
as sending, moving or deleting a message. Your mail is stored on your own computer only; it never passes through servers of the developer.

Wat het doet
- Je mail lezen, ordenen en doorzoeken: mappen en Gmail-labels, gelezen en ongelezen, verplaatsen, verwijderen en regels.
- Mail schrijven en versturen, beantwoorden en doorsturen, met bijlagen en je eigen handtekening. Een bericht gaat pas weg als jij op Versturen klikt.
- Een lokale AI-assistent die een thread samenvat, er met je over praat en een antwoord voorstelt. Het AI-model draait op je computer; je mail gaat niet naar een AI-dienst.
Wat het met je Google-account doet
Voeg je een Gmail-account toe, dan vraagt MAIL-GJ Google om toegang tot je mail (de scope https://mail.google.com/) en tot je
naam en e-mailadres. Die toegang wordt alleen gebruikt om je mail in de app te tonen, gesynchroniseerd te houden en uit te voeren wat jij
doet, zoals een bericht versturen, verplaatsen of verwijderen. Je mail staat alleen op je eigen computer en komt nooit langs servers van de
