Terms of Service
These terms apply to the use of MAIL-GJ ("the app"), made by Gerrit Jan Boeve, the Netherlands ("I", "me"). By using the app you accept them.
The app
MAIL-GJ is a desktop e-mail client for Outlook / Office 365 and Gmail with a local AI assistant. It is made for personal use and provided free of charge. Access is by invitation; there is no public distribution.
Your accounts and your mail
- You connect your own mail accounts and remain bound by the terms of those services (Google, Microsoft).
- You are responsible for what you send with the app. Messages are only sent when you press Send.
- Do not use the app for spam, unlawful content, or anything that breaks the rules of your mail service.
The AI assistant
The AI assistant runs on your own computer and only writes suggestions. Its text can be wrong, incomplete or inappropriate. Always check it before you use or send it; you remain responsible for the result. The AI never sends, moves or deletes anything by itself.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. I do my best to keep it working and safe, but I cannot guarantee that it is free of errors, that it is always available, or that no data is ever lost. Keep your mail on your mail service as usual; the app does not replace a backup.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any damage resulting from the use of the app, including lost or wrongly sent messages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Dutch law.
Privacy
How the app handles your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes and ending
I may change these terms; the new version is published on this page with a new date. You can stop using the app at any time by removing your accounts and uninstalling it.
Law
These terms are governed by Dutch law.

Gebruiksvoorwaarden
Deze voorwaarden gelden voor het gebruik van MAIL-GJ ("de app"), gemaakt door Gerrit Jan Boeve in Nederland ("ik"). Door de app te gebruiken ga je ermee akkoord.
De app
MAIL-GJ is een e-mailprogramma voor de computer voor Outlook / Office 365 en Gmail, met een lokale AI-assistent. Het is gemaakt voor persoonlijk gebruik en gratis. Gebruik is alleen op uitnodiging; de app wordt niet openbaar verspreid.
Je accounts en je mail
- Je koppelt je eigen mailaccounts en blijft gebonden aan de voorwaarden van die diensten (Google, Microsoft).
- Je bent zelf verantwoordelijk voor wat je met de app verstuurt. Een bericht gaat pas weg als je op Versturen klikt.
- Gebruik de app niet voor spam, onrechtmatige inhoud of iets wat in strijd is met de regels van je maildienst.
De AI-assistent
De AI-assistent draait op je eigen computer en schrijft alleen voorstellen. Die tekst kan onjuist, onvolledig of ongepast zijn. Controleer hem altijd voordat je hem gebruikt of verstuurt; je blijft zelf verantwoordelijk voor het resultaat. De AI verstuurt, verplaatst of verwijdert nooit zelf iets.
Geen garantie
De app wordt geleverd zoals hij is, zonder enige garantie. Ik doe mijn best om hem goed en veilig te laten werken, maar kan niet garanderen dat hij foutloos is, altijd beschikbaar is of dat er nooit gegevens verloren gaan. Je mail blijft gewoon bij je maildienst staan; de app is geen back-up.
Aansprakelijkheid
Voor zover de wet dat toestaat, ben ik niet aansprakelijk voor schade door het gebruik van de app, ook niet voor verloren of verkeerd verstuurde berichten. Niets in deze voorwaarden beperkt aansprakelijkheid die naar Nederlands recht niet beperkt mag worden.
Privacy
Hoe de app met je gegevens omgaat, staat in het privacybeleid.
Wijzigingen en stoppen
Ik kan deze voorwaarden aanpassen; de nieuwe versie staat dan op deze pagina, met een nieuwe datum. Je kunt altijd stoppen door je accounts te verwijderen en de app te verwijderen.
Recht
Op deze voorwaarden is Nederlands recht van toepassing.
